Eric T. Stoopler, DMD

Dr. Stoopler is an Assistant Professor / Clinician-Educator of Oral Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at Binghamton University in 1994 and earned his dental degree from Penn in 1999. Dr. Stoopler completed a General Practice Residency at the Brooklyn Veterans Administration Hospital in 2000 and a subsequent Fellowship in Oral Medicine at Penn in 2002. He has achieved Diplomate status with both the American Board of Oral Medicine and the American Board of Special Care Dentistry.

 Currently, he maintains an active clinical oral medicine practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and is the Director of the Oral Medicine Residency Program at Penn. Dr. Stoopler has published over thirty articles on various topics related to oral medicine in peer-reviewed journals and is a contributing author to Burket’s Oral Medicine, 11th Edition. Dr. Stoopler’s research interests include oral manifestations of complications associated with multiple myeloma and has presented his research on this topic at the regional, national, and international level.
