Tiff a disk implant is an endosteal implant that is placed by way of a facial (lateral) osteotomy. Root forms are placed axially. The disk implant is made for immediate load. It has tricortical anchorage (crestal, facial and lingual). I myself have not placed any disk implants, but I am most interested. They are well designed for placement in sites with vertical bone loss. For more information go on line and look up BOI, Geraard Scortecci or Steffan Ihde.
