Nick Huang MD Leon Chen DMD, MS, DICOI, DADIA

A preeminent educator who has placed over 30,000 implants in his ongoing career, Dr. Chen has lectured extensively about dental implants both nationally and around the world. He holds several patents for the implant and surgical instruments associated with his revolutionary surgical techniques.

Dr. Chen is a Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists; He was a clinical instructor for the Implant Departments of Harvard University, Northwestern and UNLV. Presently, Dr. Chen is the Dean Advisory Board of Harvard University. Dr. Chen is a featured podium speaker for the Academy of Periodontology, The International Implant Symposium, The International Congress of Oral Implantology, The Quintessence International Symposium and The European Federation of Periodontology. He was nominated to participate in the advisory Board of Scientific Council for the German, Italian Journal of Implantology and Periodontology, and Journal of Implant Advanced Clinical Denstiry. He is also an editor for The International Magazine for Oral Implantology, and locally has served as a Medical Advisor for Las Vegas Health magazine. As of 2007, he also is part of The Peer Review for the Journal of Periodontology.

Dr. Tara L. Aghaloo attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City for her undergraduate studies and received her D.D.S. degree in 1994. She received her M.D. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1998. She is currently faculty at the University of California at Los Angeles in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She is has published many articles on implant dentistry and active in the field of research.

Faizan Alawi, DDS

Dr. Alawi received his DDS degree from McGill University, completed a General Practice Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, and Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and is currently an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania Penn School of Dental Medicine.

Michael Apa, DDS

Alan M. Atlas, DMD

Dr. Atlas received his D.M.D degree in 1986 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and served there as acting Co-Chairman of the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences. Currently, Dr. Atlas is Clinical Associate Professor, Co-Director of Restorative Dentistry Clinics and Director of Implant Dentistry. Charles A. Babbush, DDS, MScD.

Dr. Babbush received his D.D.S. from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry and his Master of Dental Science from Boston University. Dr. Babbush completed his Oral Surgery Residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland. Currently he is Director of the Dental Implant Center, Cleveland, Ohio and Clinical Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as Director of Dental Implant Research at Case School of Dental Medicine, Case Western Reserve University.

Thomas Balshi, DDS, FACP

Dr. Thomas J. Balshi is a board certified prosthodontist practicing with Prosthodontics Intermedica in Fort Washington, PA, and is the director of the Institute For Facial Esthetics. A graduate of Temple University School of dentistry, he received surgical and prosthetic training in the Brånemark System of Osseointegrated Implants at the University of Toronto and in Gothenburg, Sweden. A diplomat of the American Board of Prosthodontics, he is a charter member and fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration, a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and the Academy of Implant Prosthodontics, and a founding member of the International College of Prosthodontists.

Barry Bartee, DDS, MD

Dr. Barry Bartee received his D.D.S. degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas and after 9 years in private general practice he completed additional studies at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, receiving the M.D. degree in 1999. Dr. Bartee then returned to private dental practice in Lubbock, with a special emphasis on implant and reconstructive dentistry. Lorin F. Berland, DDS

Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Lorin Berland graduated in 1981from the Loyola University School of Dentistry; he then attended the General Practice Residency at the University of Texas Health and Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Berland pioneered the concept of spa dentistry in his group practice in Dallas, TX. Peter M Bertrand, DDS

Peter M Bertrand received his BS from Union College in Schenectady NY in 1973. Then, after accepting a scholarship from the Navy, he earned his DDS from Georgetown University in 1977 before embarking on a 30 year career in the Navy. In addition to assignments on both coasts, and tours in Iceland and the Philippines, he received his Periodontics Certificate from the Naval Postgraduate School in Bethesda, MD in 1985 and his Orofacial Pain Certificate from the University of Kentucky in 1993.

Michael S. Block, DMD

Dr. Block graduated from the University of Rochester in 1975, attaining both a BA in Biology and a BS in Biomedical Engineering. He completed his dental training at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1979, receiving his D.M.D. cum laude in a special field. He completed his residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the LSU School of Dentistry in 1983. Gary Bouloux, DDS, MD

Dr. Bouloux is currently Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Soolari earned his doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 1990, where he received several academic awards. He received his specialty training in periodontics from Eastman Dental Center and Master of Science degree from the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York. He achieved the distinction of Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 1997. Dr. Soolari is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Periodontics Department at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, MD.

Eric T. Stoopler, DMD

Dr. Stoopler is an Assistant Professor / Clinician-Educator of Oral Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at Binghamton University in 1994 and earned his dental degree from Penn in 1999. Dr. Stoopler completed a General Practice Residency at the Brooklyn Veterans Administration Hospital in 2000 and a subsequent Fellowship in Oral Medicine at Penn in 2002. He has achieved Diplomate status with both the American Board of Oral Medicine and the American Board of Special Care Dentistry.

Scott A. Synnott, DDS

Dr. Scott Synnott received his Dental degree from the Medical College of Virginia and went on to receive his Certificate in Prosthodontics from the Naval Postgraduate Dental School (NPDS) in Bethesda, MD. He went on to complete a Maxillofacial Prosthetics Fellowship at NPDS and retired at the rank of Captain from the US Navy Dental Corps after 22 years of service. Haim Tal, DMD, Mdent, PhD (Rand)

Dr. Tal received his D.M.D. from the Hebrew University Jerusalem and Hadassah School of Dental Medicine, and his Master of Dentistry and PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand Johannesburg where he also completed his training in Periodontics and Oral Medicine.
