Esthetic Crown Lengthening With Onlays
This is a case demonstrating how the periodontist and cosmetic dentist working together as a team can enhance a patient's smile.

Pre Op Views showing the patient's unesthetic gingival margins and excessive gingival display with worn dentition.
An external bevel gingivectomy is done to balance the gingival margins and contours.
Minimally invasive crown lengthening is accomplished through minimal flap reflection. Osteoplasty and Ostectomy is completed to re-establish the biologic width.
Case is sutured with vertical matress sutures 5.0 chromic gut for reaproximation of the papilla.
The patient presents post operatively 12 weeks later to Cosmetic Dentist Scott Synnott DDS to begin restorative preparations.
The case is prepped and impressed for full porcelain jacket crowns.

I respectfully disagree. I have a patient that I worked with one of my restorative colleagues that is going on 10 years post delivery. Pt has excellent oral hygiene, keeps up with yearly check up and there has been no problem with the case.
I think if you manage the occlusion properly these cases can do quite well in the right hands and in the right patient.
The key is case selection.

2from prosthetics -it seems to be questionable,because the cause of wear dentition don,t removed(tmj,parafunction)how long this veneers will be stay? (i don,t like buccal inclination)what happens with low incisors?
